Lessons in AI Marketing: Beware the New Feature Article
August 15, 2024Every customer who works with a marketing agency should insist on a fully completed Digital Marketing Client Kit. Here's why.
So often, our agency wins a new client and is confronted with some combination of the following:
1. The account login data across digital assets is not compiled in one place.
2. There are multiple admins from different marketing agencies because the customer moved its business from one agency to another over the years. These admins are not easy to contact.
3. There is no or limited access to administrative emails associated with key accounts.
4. There is no access to two-factor authentication (2FA) emails or cell phone numbers linked to accounts.
5. Client website accounts are located in overarching agency accounts, not independent client accounts.
As an organization, you want full transparency and control of all your digital assets. You also want the ability to leave a marketing agency at will.
Therefore, ask your agency to complete and keep an up-to-date Digital Marketing Client Kit for your company. If there are gaps in the information provided, track down the details and ask that the Client Kit be updated annually.
Here is a link to our Digital Marketing Client Kit, which we utilize as a marketing transition document when we sign a new account. Feel free to download, copy, and customize for your needs.
